Pipelay Ramp System
AmClyde Norson designed and supplied Subsea 7 (DSND) with a Pipelay Ramp System with a 156Te tension capacity.
The Ramp was fabricated from high strength steel to minimise weight and reduce the effect on the centre of gravity of the vessel.
The Ramp was fitted with an Aligner System, Straightener, Tensioner, Clamp, Exit Monitoring and Roller Box. The Ramp elevated from 20° to 90° and could fleet 6.2 metres over the width of the Storage Reel.
